Last Meeting: The College of Saint Rose opened its 2015 Northeast-10 Conference slate with an 8-4 victory versus American International at Dutchess Stadium in Wappingers Falls back on March 25. The Golden Knights bounced back from a 4-1, second inning deficit by scoring four times in the fifth, once in the seventh and twice more in the eighth. Senior right-hander Ryan Harper allowed two earned runs on four hits and fanned six throughout 6.1 innings of work. Also, junior southpaw Joe Pokrentowski hurled 2.2 innings of one-hit ball to pick up the save. Freshman first baseman Chris Introcaso wound up 2-for-2 with a pair of RBI and two runs scored, senior right fielder Joseph Carcone finished 3-for-5 with two runs scored as well, and sophomore shortstop Tyler Ungerland brought across three runs.
 
Last Time Out: Saint Rose was edged twice at NE-10 Southwest Division rival Pace University Saturday afternoon. The Setters won the opener 10-6 in 14 innings and then took the nightcap 3-2. In the finale, Harper allowed three runs on nine hits and fanned 10, with only one walk, throughout 8.0 innings of work. Carcone went 2-for-4 with an RBI while Ungerland reached base four times behind a pair of hits and two walks. Carcone also led the Golden Knights in the opener. He went 3-for-6 and scored three runs while senior designated hitter Derek Reed smacked a three RBI, fifth inning double. Also, senior right-hander Chris Gould tossed 3.0 innings of two-hit ball out of the bullpen while Ungerland finished 2-for-5.
 
Scouting Saint Rose (4-11/1-3 NE-10): The Golden Knights are playing their first home game of the year today…They are aiming to snap a three-game skid in the process…Carcone, Ungerland and senior catcher Lukas Nethaway each own five-game hit streaks…Senior first baseman Zac Bellinger paces the NE-10 with 0.64 doubles per-game, while Harper is eighth with 1.62 walks per-nine innings…Bellinger is batting a team-leading .340 (17-for-50) and Nethaway has a team-best eight RBI…Harper is 3-2 with a 2.97 ERA…He has fanned 27 and walked six in 33.1 innings of work this spring.
 
Scouting American International (4-12/1-4 NE-10): The Yellow Jackets come into today having dropped six of their last seven…Sophomore first baseman Chris Starcun batted .647 (11-for-17) with a 1.235 slugging percentage throughout four games last week…He was subsequently named the NE-10 Player of the Week...Graduate student outfielder/third baseman Dave Clark hit at a .438 clip…Junior right-hander Colin Sledzik went the distance for the second time this year to pick up the win in Friday's 4-1 victory at Southern Connecticut State…Starcun and Clark stand third and fifth among the league's leading hitters with respective .395 (15-for-38) and .382 (21-for-55) batting averages…Sledzik is 3-0 with a 1.67 ERA…He has allowed just 21 hits in 27.0 innings of work.
 
Up Next: The Golden Knights have a conference doubleheader at Franklin Pierce this Saturday and will then host Pace University in a make-up game on Sunday at 2:00 pm. Meanwhile, the Yellow Jackets are scheduled to host Le Moyne in a three-game NE-10 divisional series this weekend.
