Last time we met (1/5/15):Ā 
Seeing each other just over a month ago, the Yellow Jackets slipped past Saint Rose 58-50 in Springfield, Mass. Despite the loss, the Golden Knights out-shot AIC 32-18 in the paint, and 13-12 off the bench. Senior guard Gabie Polce led Saint Rose with 12 points, followed by Jamie Hutcheson with nine. Hutcheson also collected a team-high 14 boards and dished out four assists. For the Yellow Jackets, seniors Krista Ferrentino and Alyssa Roach combined for 26 points. Ferrentino registered the double-double with 13 rebounds and went perfect (4-for-4) from the line along with junior guard Brianna Bishop (2-for-2).Ā 

Scouting Saint Rose (9-11, 5-9):Ā Saint Rose improved to 4-5 in Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium after a win over Bentley last week, but dropped a 66-42 decision to top-ranked Northeast-10 foe Stonehill Saturday afternoon. Senior Mariah Lesure leads the Golden Knights offensively with 11.0 points, while Hutcheson registers 7.8 rebounds per-game. Hutcheson also leads in steals (29) and assists (70).Ā Lesure also ranks third in the conference in field goal percentage (54.7).Ā Polce dished out a career-high 11 assists in the win over Georgian Court, and ranks 23rd in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.17).Ā The Golden Knights post a .429 field goal percentage while averaging 63.8 points per-game. Fourteenth-year head coach Karen Haag is just two wins away from her 300th career victory, making her just one of just 40 active Division II head coaches to reach that pinnacle.Ā 

Scouting AIC (12-10, 7-7):Ā The Yellow Jackets have won four of their last five, including their last three in a row.Ā Key victories this season include an 88-62 pounce of NYIT during the AIC Holiday Tournament, and a 61-45 win over Assumption in January.Ā Ferrentino leads the squad on both sides of the ball with 14.4 points and 8.7 rebounds per-game.Ā From the line, Bishop holds an .850 average (17-for-20), while averaging 12.5 points per game. Bishop also leads from beyond the arc with 48 3-pointers so far this season. Senior guardĀ Alyssa Roach has dished out a team-high 87 assists, and nabbed 41 steals.Ā 

Up next:Ā Saint Rose heads to New Haven on Saturday for a 3:30 meeting with the Chargers, and returns to Albany on Wednesday, February 11 to host Pace at 5:30 in Daniel P. Nolan gymnasium.
