ABOUT HUTCHESON: Transfered from Kent State two years ago…Played for the Hamilton Transway AAU Team…Accepts the challenge of defending the team’s best player…Passing leads to putting teammates into their strengths…Will assume some point guard responsibilities.
 
AS A JUNIOR: Played in 21 games with 19 starts…Led the team in assists on 11 dates, rebounds on nine occasions and scoring five times…Finished eighth in the Northeast-10 Conference in assists (3.6), ninth in rebounds per-game (7.3) and 12th in 3-point field goal percentage (37.3)…Also averaged 27.0 minutes, 9.0 points and 1.6 steals per-game…Nearly recorded a triple-double with 12 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds at New Haven (11/13/13)…Hauled in eight rebounds with six points and two steals in a 75-63 win versus Bloomfield (11/15/13)…Pulled down 10 rebounds along with five points, three steals and a like number of assists in a 58-48 win over Pace (11/20/13)…Scored 11 points with seven rebounds and three steals at Saint Anselm (1/4/14)…Notched a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds with three steals and three assists at Franklin Pierce (1/11/14)…Registered nine points and seven rebounds at Merrimack (1/14/14)…Put up 12 points, five assists and five rebounds in an 80-75 overtime victory against Saint Michael’s (1/22/14)…Knocked down four 3-pointers on the way to 16 points, eight rebounds and six assists versus Stonehill (2/1/14)…Connected on four 3-pointers for the second straight game at American International (2/6/14) for 16 points, five assists and five rebounds…Recorded the first of three straight double-doubles with 17 points and 10 rebounds against New Haven (2/8/14)…Finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds at Pace (2/12/14)…Shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc with 19 points and 14 rebounds, both career-highs, in a 71-53 win at “Upstate Challenge” rival Le Moyne (2/15/14)…Posted 12 points, six assists and six rebounds in the 75-67 regular-season finale win over Southern Connecticut State (2/22/14)…Named to the NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll in recognition of academic excellence.
 
AS A SOPHOMORE AT KENT STATE: Made 12 starts and played in 29 games…Scored 4.6 points per-game while also averaging 2.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 22.8 minutes…Totaled 12 points and two steals versus Georgia Southern (11/24/12)…Pulled in nine rebounds against Saint Francis (11/28/12)…Accumulated 16 points and three steals versus Eastern Michigan (1/24/13)…Had four steals against Bowling Green (3/6/13).
 
AS A FRESHMAN AT KENT STATE: Started all 27 games she played in…Averaged 8.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 33.1 minutes per-game…Scored nine points with four assists and three rebounds at Marshall (11/11/11) in her first collegiate game…Scored 12 points at Northern Arizona (11/26/11)…Collected a career-best seven assists twice, versus Canisius (12/18/11) and at Ohio (2/18/12)…Also hauled in a career-high 10 rebounds at Ohio (2/18/12)…Posted 16 points in the MAC Tournament at Ohio (3/3/12).
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in six sports for the Titans, including basketball, volleyball, track and field, soccer, softball and badminton…Averaged 17.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per-game throughout her career...Twice named to the Ontario Provincial team…Garnered MVP honors in the provincial Championship…Named Bishop Tonnos’ Athlete of the Year twice…Played and earned MVP honors in the Hamilton Spectator All-Star game…Won the 3-point shooting championship three times…Team captain…Team was runner-up in the OFSAA…Helped the team to back-to-back city finals and three straight GHAC finals…Was also a city champion in soccer and softball…Volleyball team was a GHAC finalist…Won the javelin and shotput GHAC Championships four years in a row…Honor Roll student that also garnered the Mathematics Award…Also participated in band, Student Council and Athletic Council.
 
GENERAL: Listed John Wooden as someone she admires for his wisdom…Said her parents and coaches have had the most influence on her throughout her lifetime…Favorite movies include “Hardball,” “We’re the Millers,” and “Rent”…Hobbies include comedy, watching Netflix, collecting sneakers and playing the guitar…Enjoys the music of Gavin DeGraw, Macklemore, Alex Care, Ne-Yo and anything from “One Tree Hill”…Aspires to attend chiropractic school after graduating from Saint Rose…Said her favorite sports moment was when her high school team advanced to the OFSAA final.
 
COACH HAAG ON HUTCHESON: “Jamie is an all-around player who brings a great deal of talent to our roster. She can shoot, handle the ball, get to the rim and defend her position. She is also capable of pushing the ball up the court and playing up-tempo. Her addition to the backcourt should be immediately positive as she continues to grow with the team.”
