Series: Saint Rose leads 26-21

Last time we met: Saint Rose opened Northeast-10 Conference play with a 54-26 route of the Setters in Pleasantville early in the conference season. The Golden Knights laid down a 12-0 run to open the game, and held Pace to a mere 14 points in the first half. Saint Rose held the setters to a 21.1 percent (8-for-38) margin from the floor, and turned 21 turnovers into 24 points. Senior guard Jamie Hutcheson recorded a double-double behind 12 points and 14 rebounds, to go along with four assists, while Mariah Lesure finished with 10 points. Junior guard Taylor Nazon added eights points and four boards in 16 minutes off the bench. Freshman guard Gabriella Rubin led Pace with 10 points.

Scouting Saint Rose (10-12 overall, 6-10 NE-10): Saint Rose dropped a heartbreak at New Haven on Saturday, falling to the Chargers 79-76 in its first overtime appearance of the season. Hutcheson and Lesure lead the Golden Knights offensively with 11.2 points per game apiece. Hutcheson also registers a team-high 7.9 rebounds per-game, and leads in steals (32) and assists (78). Lesure ranks third in the conference in field goal percentage (55.1), while senior guard Gabie Polce dished out a career-high 11 assists in the win over Georgian Court, and ranks 21st in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.16). The Golden Knights post a .431 field goal percentage, while averaging 64.0 points per-game, and their field goal mark ranks 48th in the nation as of Monday. Head coach #Karen Haag# is just one win away from her 300th career victory, making her just one of just 40 active Division II head coaches to reach that pinnacle.

Scouting Pace (11-12, 5-10 NE-10): Despite sitting in last place in the NE-10, the Setters snapped a 2-6 start to the season with a six game winning streak that included wins over league foes American International and Merrimack. Pace has won three of its last five contests, dropping its most recent game to the Yellow Jackets 54-48, a team that Saint Rose defeated by eight just a week ago here in Albany. Rubin and senior guard Margo Hackett lead pace with 11.0 and 12.2 points per-game. Rubin also holds  the team-high in assists (63) and steals (35). Junior forward Yuni Sher averages 6.8 boards a contest, while senior guard Jaclyn Oskam registers a .418 mark from 3-point range.

Up next: Saint Rose hosts Le Moyne on Saturday in an Upstate Challenge game, and will also honor five graduating seniors for their hard work and dedication to the program. Fans are encouraged to wear in support of the Black Out.
