EASTON, Mass. – After a 39-17 advantage in the first half, top-ranked Northeast-10 Conference foe Stonehill sent The College of Saint Rose women's basketball team home with a 66-42 loss Saturday afternoon from Paula Sullivan Court.

Staci Barrett paced the Golden Knights (9-11 overall, 5-9 NE-10) with 10 points, while senior guard
Jamie Hutcheson nabbed 11 rebounds and dished out two assists. Junior guard
Taylor Nazon went 2-for-2 from the line, and four different players put up a single block apiece.

The Skyhawks (16-2, 12-2) held Saint Rose to an arm's length throughout the entire first half, leading by as much as 31-10 with 3:41 remaining. The Golden Knights picked up seven points before the break, but still trailed by 22.

After Nazon's free throws, Saint Rose could only come as close as 14 points of Stonehill in the second half with a score of 46-32 (13:39). The Skyhawks built up their lead with a 12-6 run to hold a 24-point advantage with only 3:30 remaining, while the Golden Knights mustered just two more buckets before time expired.

Saint Rose returns to the Capital District on Wednesday to host American International at 5:30 pm in Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium, followed by a trip to New Haven on Saturday. Tip-off is slated for 3:30 pm in Charger Gymnasium.Â
