Scouting Saint Rose (0-0-1): The College of Saint Rose opened the 2014 season on Thursday against non-conference foe Molloy College. The two teams played through 110 minutes that ultimately resulted in a 1-1 draw. Although Saint Rose outshot the Lions 18-9, Molloy got on the board first in the 82nd minute. The Golden Knights did not hesitate as freshman midfielder
Kledis Capollari found the back of the net less than two minutes later to force extra time. Saint Rose put three strikes on net throughout overtime, compared to Molloy's two. Junior midfielder
Nick Iuorno led with five shots on the night, followed by senior midfielder
Drew Wingate with four. Junior keeper
Colan Balkwell earned the start and made five saves between the posts.

Scouting Daemen (0-0-0): Today's contest marks the season opener for the Wildcats, who posted a 4-13-1 overall record last season, and a 0-9-1 East Coast Conference mark. Sophomore Alex Reid leads the returners with seven goals, three assists and 41 shots in 2013. In net, senior keeper Matt Daddario had a 3-12 mark, including one shutout, in 1,323 minutes.

Up Next: The Golden Knights return home this Wednesday to face St. Thomas Aquinas at 7:00 pm. Meanwhile, the Wildcats are back on the road Tuesday with a 4:00 pm non-league date at Le Moyne in Syracuse.
