Series Record: 14-3 Stonehill | First Meeting: 1997

Last Time Out: The College of Saint Rose threw a scare at seventh-ranked Southern Connecticut State before the host Owls tallied the game's lone goal three minutes into overtime in Northeast-10 Conference action Wednesday evening. Senior back Daniel Ruiz provided the game-winner to thwart the Golden Knights upset bid.  Junior keeper Colan Balkwell recorded five of his season-high six saves in the first half to keep Saint Rose, which was outshot 9-2 during that span, in the match.

Last Meeting (9/14/13): Saint Rose outshot host Stonehill 13-7, including 9-4 in the second half, and manufactured six corner kicks while yielding only a pair, but the Skyhawks scored once in each period to upend the Golden Knights 2-0 in what was the NE-10 opener for both clubs. Uros Antic directed four shots-on-goal and Jacob Sand fired three others on target to lead the Saint Rose charge. However, junior back Evan Devanny and junior forward Drew Montano both registered their first strikes of the season, while senior keeper Adam Colella made seven of his 11 saves throughout the final 45 minutes to pace the Skyhawks.

Scouting Saint Rose (1-4-1/1-2-0 NE-10): All four Golden Knights setbacks this year have been by one goal. Junior midfielder Nick Iuorno and freshman forward Kledis Capollari have two goals apiece, while sophomore forward Joshua Hanif and junior midfielder Marco Pavlin have one each. Balkwell owns a 1.04 goals-against-average throughout 518 minutes of action that spans six contests. His .793 save percentage is the league's fifth best mark.

Scouting Stonehill (1-2-0/0-0-0 NE-10): The Skyhawks have won three of their last four following Wednesday's 1-0 triumph versus league rival Bentley. Montano drove home a rebound off a saved penalty kick with 12:42 elapsed for what stood up as the game-winner. Freshman midfielder Connor O'Brien paces the Stonehill attack. The Schenectady native has four goals and a pair of assists on the year. Junior keeper Luke Besse has played the majority of time between the posts. He owns a 1.34 GAA and a .724 save percentage.

Up Next: Both sides return to the pitch for NE-10 action Tuesday. The Golden Knights host Adelphi at 6:00 pm, while Stonehill has a 7:00 pm meeting at defending national champion Southern New Hampshire in Manchester.
