The Plot: The College of Saint Rose high scoring offense faces a stern test this afternoon against a New Haven squad that boasts one of the toughest defenses in the Northeast-10 Conference. The Golden Knights are averaging 80.5 points per-game, but the Chargers are yielding a league low 62.1 points per-outing.

Last Time Out: Saint Rose shot better than 50.0 percent from the floor for the ninth time this season and outrebounded host NE-10 rival American International by a plus-17 margin en route to Thursday's 82-73 victory. Senior center Dominykas Milka recorded his 17th "double-double" of the year to lead the Golden Knights. Milka scored 23 of his 29 points in the second half and also hauled in 14 rebounds. Sophomore forward Tyler Sayre finished with 22 points, nine boards, and three steals; while senior guard Dan Mundweiler  added 12 points. Senior guard Spencer Braithwaite and junior forward Marcus Porter led the way for American International with 24 and 21 points respectively.

Last Meeting: Host New Haven scored 11 of the game's last 13 points during the final 4:13 to secure a 69-56 victory back on December 10. Milka led Saint Rose with 15 points and nine rebounds. Freshman guard Isaiah Cosbert tossed in a season-high 14 points while fellow freshman guard Mical-Ryan Boyd contributed 10 points and a season-best nine boards. Senior guard Jeffery Adkins led four New Haven players in double-figures with a game-high 17 points. He also handed out five assists. Junior forwards Cyrus James and Eric Anderson each scored 11 points and combined for 28 rebounds. The Chargers owned a 45-38 advantage on the glass and went 21-for-26 (80.8 percent) from the charity stripe.

The Series | Saint Rose 7-5: Saint Rose owns a 7-5 lead in the series that dates back to the 2001-02 season. The Golden Knights are 5-0 against the Chargers at home, but New Haven has won the last two meetings.

Scouting Saint Rose (11-10 | 8-7 NE-10): Eleven of the Golden Knights 21 contests have been decided by five or fewer points…They are 5-6 in those encounters….Milka is one of only six players in Saint Rose annals to record more than 1,000 points (1,429) and 800 rebounds (888)…He is second among the nation's active leaders with 39 career "double-doubles" while his 888 boards place him third within that demographic…Milka currently stands fourth in the country with a league-leading 12.5 rebounding average…He is furthermore third among the NE-10 scoring leaders with 20.5 points per-game, while Sayre stands fourth at 20.0 ppg…Sayre has been in double-figures scoring in all but three games this season and has averaged 27.0 points throughout the last five contests…Milka has now scored 20 or more points in nine of the last 10 games...The Golden Knights 10 losses have come against opponents that own a 128-59 (.684) collective record entering this afternoon...Milka and Sayre have been named to the 2013-14 Capital One Academic All-District® I Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)…The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom…Saint Rose is the only institution to be represented by more than one individual.

Scouting New Haven (15-6 | 10-5 NE-10): New Haven had its four-game win streak snapped with Tuesday's 78-72 setback to visiting Southern Connecticut State in a clash that featured the top-two teams in the NE-10 Southwest Division…The Chargers have scored as many field goals (497) as they have allowed this season, but they have made 59 more free throws (333) than their opponents have attempted (274)…New Haven furthermore leads the conference in scoring defense (62.1) and field goal percentage defense (.392)…Four players average at least 9.9 points per-game including Adkins who tosses in a team-leading 16.2 ppg…Anderson averages a "double-double" behind 15.3 ppg and 11.8 rebounds per-outing…The latter places him second among the NE-10 leaders, behind only Milka…Fourth-year head coach Ted Hotaling is a '95 University at Albany graduate and is a member of the Great Dane Hall of Fame.

Up Next: The Golden Knights are back on the road Wednesday with a 7:30 pm date at Pace University in Pleasantville. Meanwhile, the Chargers head to Syracuse Tuesday to take on Le Moyne at 7:00 pm.
