Series Record: 9-4-2 Assumption | First Meeting: 1998

Last Time Out: Franklin Pierce scored once in each half to hand The College of Saint Rose a 2-1 setback in Northeast-10 Conference action Saturday on this pitch. There was plenty of scoring opportunities as the squads engineered 16 shots collectively. Sophomore forward Tyler Casavant tallied his first strike of the season, while junior keeper Colan Balkwell recorded a workmanlike nine saves for the Golden Knights.

Last Meeting (10/16/13): Juan Garzon drove home his own rebound with a mere 17 seconds remaining in regulation to lift the Golden Knights to a 1-0 victory at Assumption in Worcester, MA. The host Greyhounds manufactured a 20-10 shot differential, including a 10-7 advantage in shots on target, but Balkwell was equal to the task to register his first shutout in a Saint Rose uniform. Balkwell made eight of his 10 stops in the first half when Assumption outshot Saint Rose 13-4. For the Greyhounds, junior keeper Dana King made six saves between the posts.

Scouting Saint Rose (1-9-1/1-6-0 NE-10): Saturday's setback marked the squad's seventh, one-goal loss this season. Junior midfielder Nick Iuorno and freshman midfielder Kledis Capollari lead the team with three goals apiece. Balkwell owns a 1.54 goals-against-average throughout 878 of the team's 1013 minutes.

Scouting Assumption (2-7-1/2-4-1 NE-10): Assumption snapped a three-match skid with Saturday's 4-0 victory versus league rival Saint Anselm. The Greyhounds put themselves in control by soring all four goals in the opening 25 minutes. Sophomore midfielder Sarandon Dias and senior midfielder Troy Lamagna lead the team's scoring parade. Dias has three goals on the year, while Lamagna has a pair of strikes and an assist. King owns a 1.36 GAA throughout 928 minutes.

Up Next: Both squads have conference road matches on Saturday. The Golden Knights will travel to Colchester, VT to take on Saint Michael's at 1:00 pm, while Assumption has a 7:00 pm date at defending national champion Southern New Hampshire in Manchester.
