Box Score

ALBANY-The College of Saint Rose kept its unblemished home record intact and in the process chalked up the 100th victory at the 10-year-old the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium with tonight's 87-72 Northeast-10 Conference victory versus Assumption.

The Golden Knights (8-6/5-3 NE-10) had eight players in double-figure minutes, shot better than 50.0 percent from the floor for the sixth time this season, and turned 17 Greyhounds turnovers into 16 points. Saint Rose connected on 56.9 percent (33-for-58) of its field goal opportunities, including 67.9 percent (19-for-28) in the second half.

Senior center Dominykas Milka scored 16 of his 25 points in the second half and also pulled down nine rebounds to lead four Golden Knights in twin-figures scoring. Freshman guard Isaiah Cosbert tied his season-high of 14 points in 20 minutes off the bench.

Furthermore, sophomore forward Travis Gill made the most of his first career start by scoring 13 points on 5-for-7 shooting from the floor while fellow sophomore forward Tyler Sayre was in double-figures for the 11th time this year with 11 points. Also, sophomore forward Chris Dorgler handed out five assists without a turnover.

Saint Rose led throughout the final 38 minutes although it was only a one point, 52-51, ballgame with 10:46 left. The Golden Knights then took off on an 18-6 run that put them in the catbird seat with a 13-point, 70-57, advantage with 5:30 to go. Milka drained a jumper in the paint off a feed from Dorgler to ignite the spurt and then freshman guard Mical-Ryan Boyd capped it by putting down a fast break dunk via a Dorgler steal.

Assumption was only able cut its deficit to single digits on one more occasion as Saint Rose scored 15 of the game's last 24 points throughout the final 3:46.

Freshman guard Marcus Murray scored a game-high 26 points and sophomore forward Chris Fitzgerald added 11 in 13 minutes of reserve duty for the Greyhounds (3-10/1-7 NE-10), who came into tonight having won two of their past three outings.

Looking ahead, both teams have 3:30 pm league games Saturday. The Golden Knights will head to Rindge, NH to take on Franklin Pierce, while Assumption will entertain New Haven.
