The Plot: The College of Saint Rose welcomes Southern Connecticut State University for a

Last Meeting (10/14/12): Host Southern Connecticut State scored a pair of goals midway through the first half and then tacked on two more in the game's final eight minutes to upend Saint Rose 4-0. Mario DiMiceli scored what held up as the game-winner and then tallied both goals in the second period. Mario DeCosta followed DiMiceli's initial strike to put the Owls up 2-0 at intermission. James Taber recorded five saves for Saint Rose as the Owls manufactured a 14-3 shot advantage.
Scouting Saint Rose (3-3/1-2 NE-10): Bentley handed Saint Rose its first home loss of the year with a 3-2 decision Saturday afternoon. Senior forward Juan Garzon is tied for second in the NE-10 with seven points via three goals and an assist. Freshman midfielder Uros Antic, who was named NE-10 Rookie of the Week yesterday, is ninth behind five points on a goal and an assist. Freshman goalkeeper Christian Esposito owns a league leading 0.39 goals-against-average. Saint Rose has taken 14.2 shots per-game with a shot-on-goal percentage of .482.
Scouting Southern Connecticut State (1-1-1/1-0-1 NE-10): The Owls played visiting Assumption to a scoreless tie last Wednesday evening. Junior goalkeeper Stephen Sasso made seven saves to preserve the shutout. Sasso has allowed just two goals and owns a .889 save percentage, the best mark in the conference. Freshman forward Kevin Josyln accounts for two of the Owls' three goals this season. Southern Connecticut has attempted 14.7 shots per-game with a .500 shot-on-goal percentage. Sixteen of the squad's 23 members are freshmen or sophomores.
