Live Stats

The Plot: The College of Saint Rose welcomes Bentley University for a Northeast-10 Conference match at Sullivan Field at the Plumeri Sports Complex after two weeks away from its home pitch.

Last Meeting (10/14/12): Host Bentley struck in the opening five minutes for what held up as the game-winner in a 1-0 victory versus Saint Rose. Cody Osgood delivered a through ball that sophomore midfielder Marty Ryan ran onto and drove home into the right corner with a mere 4:46 gone by. That proved to be the lone tally of the afternoon. The Golden Knights manufactured a pair of shots in each half, while the Falcons generated nine shots, five in the first period.

Scouting Saint Rose (3-2/1-0 NE-10): Saint Rose made the most of its opportunities to upend host New Haven 3-0 Tuesday afternoon in NE-10 action. Senior forwards Juan Garzon and Jacob Sand, and freshman midfielder Uros Antic each scored unassisted to account for the three Saint Rose tallies. The Golden Knights are now 3-2 for the first time in nine years. Garzon leads Saint Rose with two goals while Sand is second with three points behind a goal and an assist. Freshman goalkeeper Christian Esposito and sophomore goalkeeper Colan Balkwell have played in three games a piece. The duo has combined for a 0.79 goals-against-average and a .765 save percentage. Esposito leads the league with a 0.39 goals-against average.

Scouting Bentley (1-3/0-2 NE-10): The Falcons have lost three in a row after winning the season-opener 2-1 at Queens (NY). A 79th minute goal lifted host Merrimack to a 2-1 win against Bentley Wednesday evening. Senior back Jordan Bridge gave the Falcons an early 1-0 advantage in the first half with his first goal of the season. Sophomore forward Scott Levy has netted a team-best two strikes on the campaign. Junior goalkeeper Nick Gagnon has started three games between the posts, making 10 saves and posting a 1.67 goals-against-average.

Up Next: The Golden Knights play the second of back-to-back home NE-10 contests this Tuesday when they face Southern Connecticut State for a 7:00 pm kickoff. Meanwhile, Bentley returns to its home pitch on Wednesday with a 3:30 pm start versus league rival Stonehill.
