Isaiah Cosbert tossed in a season-high 14 points while fellow freshman guard
Mical-Ryan Boyd tossed in 10 points and hauled in nine boards.

Senior guard Jeffrey Adkins led four New Haven (6-2/4-1 NE-10) players in double-figures with a game-high 17 points. He also handed out five assists. Junior forwards Cyrus James and Eric Anderson each scored 11 points and combined for 28 rebounds. The Chargers owned a 45-38 advantage on the glass and shot 21-for-26 (80.8 percent) from the charity stripe.

The Golden Knights faced an early 10-point hole as New Haven went up 18-8 midway through the first half. However, Saint Rose finished the rest of the half on a 20-12 run to close the gap to 30-28 at the break.

A layup by Milka allowed Saint Rose a 38-37 lead in the initial stages of the second half, before the Chargers made an 8-0 run to go up 45-38. The Golden Knights subsequently kept it a two or three possession game, but New Haven scored 11 of the game's last 13 points during the final 4:13.
