The Plot: The College of Saint Rose travels to Southern New Hampshire for a quarterfinal game in its first-ever Northeast-10 Conference Championship appearance.

Last Meeting (11/1/13): Saint Rose wrapped up one of its finest regular-seasons ever on a bit of a down note via a 2-0 home setback to none other than Southern New Hampshire last Friday. The game stood scoreless at intermission, but Southern New Hampshire struck 17 minutes apart late in the second half. The nation's seventh leading goal scorer, senior forward Pierre Omanga provided both markers for the Penmen. Omanga headed a cross from sophomore back Jonathan Lupinelli into the upper left corner in the 64th minute and then deked his defender near the endline, before delivering a shot that somehow slipped off the near post and in with 80:32 gone by. Saint Rose sophomore keeper Colan Balkwell was outstanding between the posts, making eight saves as the Penmen delivered 10 shots-on-goal.

Scouting Saint Rose (8-9): The Golden Knights are making their first-ever NE-10 Championship appearance tonight. They reached the eight win mark for the first time since 1990 when they finished 9-8 overall during their NAIA era. In fact, Saint Rose has won eight contests only two other times (1989 and 1990). Senior forward Juan Garzon is tied for fourth in the league with seven goals. He also adds an assist for a team-best 15 points. Freshman midfielder Uros Antic is second on the team with 10 points via four goals and two assists. Balkwell has made 73 saves, fifth most in the conference.

Scouting #10 Southern New Hampshire (15-1): The Penmen, ranked #10 in the most recent NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Poll, extended their win streak to 15 straight and completed a 13-0-0 NE-10 regular season with Friday's win. Omanga has scored in five straight games. Southern New Hampshire became the first team to post a 13-0-0 mark in league play since the men's soccer schedule expanded to 13 games in 2000. The defending conference champion Penmen are the first team to go unbeaten and untied in league play since Saint Anselm went 8-0 in 1999. Their 15-game win streak is the second longest in program history.

Up Next: The winner of tonight's match goes on to play either Le Moyne or Adelphi in a semifinal encounter on Friday. Saint Rose would have to travel, while Southern New Hampshire would host.
