SAINT ROSE WELCOMES PACE UNIVERSITY FOR NE-10 OPENER

Senior guard Dan Mundweiler is averaging a team leading 3.3 assists per-game for the Golden Knights.

The Plot: The College of Saint Rose is aiming to run its win streak to three games while Pace is looking to chalk up its first win of the year. Tonight's Northeast-10 Conference opener may be viewed live via the web at www.gogoldenknights.tv.

Last Time Out: Saint Rose held off Chestnut Hill to chalk up a 73-65 victory Sunday evening. Sophomore forward Tyler Sayre scored a career-high 27 points, on 10-for-17 shooting, and hauled in nine rebounds to lead the Golden Knights. Senior center Dominykas Milka registered his fourth "double-double" in as many games with 11 points and 10 boards. Also, freshman guard Mical-Ryan Boyd went 4-for-4 from the field and 5-for-5 from the foul line on the way to a season-high 15 points in 26 minutes off bench.

Last Meeting | 71-61 Saint Rose | 2/16/13 at Saint Rose: Saint Rose jumped out to a nine point advantage and never looked back. The Golden Knights led wire-to-wire and shot 56.3 percent (18-for-32) from the floor in the opening stanza to take a 16 point, 40-24, lead at the break. Milka registered his 15th "double-double" of the year behind 8-for-11 shooting. Milka finished with 17 points and 14 boards to lead four players in double-figures scoring. Senior guard Dan Mundweiler tossed in 14 points while Sayre and Andre Pope had 12 and 10 respectively. Pope also handed out a game-high six assists. For Pace, senior forward Jonathan Marceus recorded 26 points and 12 rebounds, while Keon Williams and senior guard Denzel Primus-Devonish added 10 each.

The Series | Saint Rose 29-16: Saint Rose snapped a three-game skid with last February's victory against its longest tenured rival.

Scouting Saint Rose | 2-2 | 0-0 NE-10: The Golden Knights rebounded from an 0-2 start with two straight victories at their own Northeast-10 Challenge this past weekend...They are 8-5 in NE-10 openers and have split their last four…Saint Rose is outscoring its opponents by a +6.7 margin and outrebounding them by a +4.0 margin...Boyd was named NE-10 Co-Rookie of the Week on Monday…Nine players are averaging double-figure minutes thus far…Saint Rose handed out 28 assists on 37 field goals during Saturday's 96-63 win versus Felician…The 28 helpers represent the highest assists mark since the club handed out 29, on 38 field goals, in a 97-76 victory at Southern Connecticut State on January 10, 2006…Milka paces the squad with 18.5 points and 12.8 rebounds per-game…The latter is the league's third highest mark…Sayre follows at 18.0 ppg and 7.3 rpg while Mundweiler is averaging 3.3 assists.

Scouting Pace | 0-2 | 0-2 NE-10: Pace has been off the past week after dropping both of its games at the LIU Post Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, November 9 and 10…The Setters fell 84-82 to the host Pioneers on Saturday and 75-64 to Dowling the following day…The Setters feature seven seniors this season...Pat Kennedy enters his first year at the helm after formerly coaching at the Division I level for 31 years that included stops at Iona, Florida State, DePaul, Montana, and Towson…Primus-Devonish paces the NE-10 with 29.0 ppg while sophomore forward Jaylen Mann is averaging 12.0 ppg and a team-leading 9.5 rpg.

Up Next: Both squads have 3:30 pm home conference dates this Saturday. The Golden Knights will host Upstate Challenge rival Le Moyne while the Setters will entertain New Haven.
