The Plot: The College of Saint Rose welcomes Merrimack College for a Northeast-10 Conference match at Sullivan Field at the Plumeri Sports Complex this afternoon.

Last Meeting (10/26/12): Saint Rose closed out its 2012 campaign with a 4-0 setback at Merrimack. The Warriors scored three times within a 14 minute span in the second half. Franklin Lemus Pena scored two goals and set up the game-winner to lead the Warriors. Todd Lawson made three saves for the Golden Knights. Alan McCann, sophomore midfielder Tyler Pomakoy, and junior forward Ercan Kilic accounted for the three shots-on-goal for Saint Rose.

Scouting Saint Rose (3-5/1-4 NE-10): The Golden Knights have dropped three in a row after winning three of five matches to start the season. Seven individuals have produced a point for Saint Rose this season. Senior forward Juan Garzon leads the attack behind seven points on three goals and an assist. Freshman midfielder Uros Antic adds two goals and an assist for five points. Sophomore goalkeeper Colan Balkwell has made 19 saves in six matches thus far. The Golden Knights average 13.1 shots per-game, fifth most in the league, while allowing 11.6.

Scouting Merrimack (6-2/4-1 NE-10): The Warriors have won six of their last seven matches after falling 1-0 to Dominican in the season-opener on Thursday, September 5. Merrimack last played Friday, September 27, defeating visiting Southern Connecticut State 3-1. Sophomore forward Douglas Searl has scored seven points via three goals and one assist to lead the team. Classmate midfielder Augusto Silva has also tallied three strikes. Junior goalkeeper Jose Silva has started all eight matches, registering a 0.89 goals-against-average and a .800 save percentage.

Up Next: Both teams are scheduled for 7:00 pm road matches on Wednesday. Saint Rose steps out of conference play to face Roberts Wesleyan in Rochester, NY while Merrimack faces league rival Southern New Hampshire in Manchester.
