TWO LATE GOALS ALLOW FRANKLIN PIERCE TO UPEND GOLDEN KNIGHTS

Sophomore midfielder Nick Iuorno generated a pair of shots in tonight's setback at Franklin Pierce.

RINDGE, NH–Host Franklin Pierce scored a pair of goals less than three minutes apart in the final five minutes to upend The College of Saint Rose 2-0 in Northeast-10 Conference action this evening.

Freshman forward Dallas Donovan registered both goals to pace the Ravens (5-5/4-3 NE-10). Donovan collected a quick pass from junior midfielder David Lima and finished in the upper right-corner with 85:16 elapsed. Donovan then secured a long free kick from senior midfielder Terence Ciaverra and converted his ensuing shot at the 87:45 mark.

Sophomore keeper Colan Balkwell made five of his six saves in the second half for the Golden Knights (4-7/1-6 NE-10). Senior forward Juan Garzon and sophomore midfielder Nick Iuorno generated two shots apiece on the other end.

Looking ahead, both teams return to the pitch Wednesday. Saint Rose travels to Worcester, MA for a 7:00 pm conference date at Assumption while Franklin Pierce visits Manchester, NH to face NE-10 rival Saint Anselm.
