The Plot: The College of Saint Rose welcomes Franklin Pierce University for a Northeast-10 Conference match at Sullivan Field at the Plumeri Sports Complex this evening.

Last Meeting (9/27/11): Victor Goncalves and Diego Tabares each accounted for a goal and an assist in the Raven's 2-0 victory at Sodexo Field in Rindge, NH. Tabares found Goncalves in the 39th minute to open the scoring and then just a minute into the second half, Goncalves returned the favor by finding Tabares at the top of the box. Junior midfielder Dylan Klippenstein accounted for the two shots taken by the Golden Knights.

Scouting Saint Rose (0-7/0-4 NE-10): Tonight's match is the conclusion of a three-game homestand for the Golden Knights. Saint Rose last played on Saturday, falling 2-1 to Saint Anselm. Freshman midfielder Massimo Smiroldo scored in the 73rd minute to make the score 2-1 in favor of the Hawks. The Golden Knights pressured throughout the final 17 minutes without finding the equalizing strike. Smiroldo leads the team with five points behind two goals and one assist.

Scouting #19 Franklin Pierce (4-2/2-1 NE-10): The Ravens were the number 19th ranked team in the nation according to last Tuesday's NSCAA/Continental Tire Men's Division II National Poll. Senior forward Greg Giguere has a team-high 11 points with five goals and an assist. Meanwhile, freshman midfielder Nico Mueller has contribued two goals and two assist for six points. Senior goalkeeper Jake Wright owns a 1.44 goals-against-average to go along with 12 saves in six matches this season.

Up Next: Saint Rose enjoys a week off before traveling to Syracuse for a Northeast-10 Conference contest at Le Moyne on Wednesday, October 3 at 4:00 pm. The game marks the latest match-up in the year-long "Upstate Challenege" rivalry series between the two schools. Franklin Pierce, however, is in action this coming Saturday. The Ravens return home to face NE-10 and crosstown rival Saint Anselm at 2:00 pm.
