Box Score ALBANY – A young lineup for The College of Saint Rose continues to look for a breakthrough as the Golden Knights suffered a 3-0 nonconference setback to visiting NYIT tonight at
Sullivan Field at the Plumeri Sports Complex.
Junior midfielder Vinny Caccavale procured a rare hat trick with a three goals for the Bears (2-3-1) who manufactured seven shots in the first half and nine more in the second.
Caccavale finished a counter after stealing a throw-in midway through the opening period for what proved to be the game winner. He then converted a pass from freshman midfielder Alberto Ruiz with 52:31 elapsed and added another strike in the game's final five minutes.

Dylan Klippenstein all manufactured shots for the Golden Knights (0-6-0) who had six underclassmen in the starting lineup. Freshman keeper
Todd Lawson recorded seven saves in his second collegiate start.
Looking ahead, Saint Rose is home again Saturday with a 1:00 pm date versus
Norhteast-10 Conference rival Saint Anselm. Meanwhile, the Bears have a 3:30 pm East Coast Conference date at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY.
