Box Score WALTHAM, MA –Host and ninth-ranked Bentley jumped out to a quick start in each half and forced The College of Saint into 24 turnovers en route to a 67-47 Northeast-10 Conference victory this afternoon at the Dana Center.

Senior guard Ashley Rath scored 13 points, on 5-for-8 shooting, to go with four assists and three steals; and fellow senior guard Ola Shajuyigbe added 10 points for the Golden Knights (9-6/6-5 NE-10).

Sophomore forward Lauren Batista had 12 points and six boards, while classmate Jacqui Brugliera and senior guard Katherine Goodwin added 11 apiece for Bentley. Also, junior guard Kelsey Roberson recorded nine points, six rebounds and three assists in 25 minutes off the bench.

Bentley scored 12 unanswered points to jump out to a 12-3 advantage on the way to a 34-24 lead at the break after the two squads turned the ball over a collective 29 times throughout the opening 20 minutes. However, the Falcons overcame their 14 miscues by generating a 20-14 rebounding differential and shooting 40.0 percent (6-for-15) from the arc. Saint Rose conversely shot just 28.6 percent from the floor (6-for-21).

The Falcons then opened the second stanza with an 11-4 run throughout the initial five minutes that made it a 45-28 ballgame with 14:47 left. It remained a double-digit affair the rest of the way as Saint Rose got no closer than 10 points on two occasions.

Looking ahead, both squads return to action with 5:30 pm conference dates Tuesday. The Golden Knights will head to North Andover, MA to take on Merrimack; while the Falcons will entertain Adelphi.
