STREAKING GOLDEN KNIGHTS DEFEAT AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL 3-0

Senior outside hitter Sarah Kahrs had a match-high 13 kills to go along with eight digs
ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose women's volleyball team recorded a season-high .314 hitting percentage to win its sixth straight via a 3-0 (25-19, 25-11, 25-17) Northeast-10 Conference victory over visiting American International College tonight at the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium. The Golden Knights committed only 11 errors in 86 swings, while the Yellow Jackets were hampered by 22 errors of their own.

Saint Rose (6-2/2-0 NE-10) hit a collective .363 behind 26 kills against just seven attack errors in 53 attempts over the first two sets to build a commanding 2-0 lead. The Golden Knights then raced out to a 7-3 advantage in the third set and never trailed to snap a mild two-match skid against American International.

Senior outside hitters Sarah Kahrs and Aubrey Bobo proved to be a formidable tandem all evening. Kahrs led Saint Rose in kills for the second time this year with a match-high 13. She also collected eight digs. Meanwhile, Bobo registered 12 kills, six digs and a pair of blocks.

Freshman defensive specialist Tori Daniels and freshman setter Ariana Wilson were superlative quarterbacking the offense for the Golden Knights. Daniels dished out 19 assists to go with five digs and Wilson handed out 16 assists. Additionally, freshman libero Katy Daniels led all players with 13 digs.

The Yellow Jackets (3-8/1-1 NE-10) received 10 kills from senior outside hitter Ellisha Terry, who entered the match ranked eighth in the league in that category. Junior libero Seferina Starks sparked the defense with 10 digs.

Looking ahead, Saint Rose steps away from its league schedule Friday night when the Golden Knights head to Molloy College for a 7:00 pm date. Meanwhile, American International returns home Thursday night to host NE-10 rival Le Moyne College at 7:00 pm.
