LAST MEETING
Host American International registered a 3-0 (17-25, 23-25, 16-25) Northeast-10 Conference victory versus Saint Rose in Springfield last October 22. Senior outside hitter Sarah Kahrs led the Golden Knights with eight kills and 10 digs. Meanwhile, Ashlee Upchurch and sophomore outside hitter Christina Strezenec each added nine digs. Five players registered at least six kills to lead a balanced attack for the Yellow Jackets. Keziah Kashouh recorded a match-high 11 kills. Meanwhile, senior outside hitter Ellisha Terry finished with 14 digs to go along with six kills. Furthermore, senior setter Kervelle Redhead filled up the box score with 29 assists, five digs, three kills and two blocks.

SCOUTING SAINT ROSE (5-2/1-0 NE-10)
The Golden Knights are in the midst of a season-long five-match win streak following a 3-2 triumph at Southern Connecticut State on Saturday in their 2011 NE-10 opener. It marked the fourth year in a row Saint Rose began conference play with a victory.

The Golden Knights are averaging 10.3 kills per-set as opposed to just 8.2 for their opponents. Saint Rose is also hitting a collective .179, while holding their foes to a .105 hitting percentage.

Senior outside hitter Aubrey Bobo paces Saint Rose and is third in the league with a .313 hitting percentage. She also ranks 11th in the NE-10 with a team-best 2.96 k/s. Freshman libero Katy Daniels has piloted the defensive unit thus far. Daniels leads the squad and stands sixth in the conference with 103 digs (3.81 d/s). She has also served up a team-high 12 aces.

The Golden Knights are looking to snap a mild two-match skid against American International this evening.

SCOUTING AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL (3-7/1-0 NE-10)
The Yellow Jackets have won two in a row, both in league play, after getting off to a 1-7 start to the 2011 slate.

Terry and sophomore Caitlin Connelly have been a formidable tandem up front thus far. Terry is eighth in the NE-10 behind a team-high 93 kills (3.10 k/s). Connelly is right behind her with 87 kills (2.90 k/s), which ranks 12th in the conference.

American International has taken three of the past four meetings against Saint Rose. Its lone loss during that stretch came via a 3-2 decision in 2008.

UP NEXT
Saint Rose steps out of conference Friday night when the Golden Knights head to Molloy College for a 7:00 pm date. Meanwhile, American International returns home Thursday night to host NE-10 rival Le Moyne College at 7:00 pm.
