ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose women's volleyball team rattled off its third straight victory on the strength of a 3-1 (25-14, 25-22, 16-25, 25-19) non-conference win over visiting Post University tonight at the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium. The Golden Knights (3-2) forced the Eagles (0-9) into 30 attack errors compared to 18 of their own.
Senior outside hitters
Aubrey Bobo and
Sarah Kahrs both reached double-figures in kills for Saint Rose. Bobo hit a whopping .722 in the contest, chalking up 13 kills on 18 swings without a miscue. She also added 10 digs and three blocks. Kahrs picked up 10 kills, five digs and a pair of blocks as well.
Senior middle hitter
Chelsea Tyler also had a solid all-around performance for the Golden Knights. Tyler collected eight kills, three blocks, two aces and hit .400.
Sophomore middle hitter Belinda Snider led a balanced attack for Post. Snider finished with 10 kills, while sophomore outside hitter Emily Wilman and senior outside hitter Kelli Reynolds added eight and seven kills respectively.
Saint Rose resumes its non-conference slate this Friday. The Golden Knights travel to Mercy College for a 7:00 pm date in Dobbs Ferry, NY. Meanwhile, Post hits the court again Thursday night. The Eagles play host to Concordia College at 7:00 pm in what marks their 2011 home opener.
