LOWELL, MA – Host UMass Lowell ran its win streak to six games by scoring five unanswered goals in the second period that broke open a 2-1 game at halftime and yielded a 7-1 victory against The College of Saint Rose today. The River Hawks (7-4/7-2 NE-10) did most of their damage with three strikes throughout a five minute span during the second stanza.
Senior forward Mohammed Saeed scored three goals, while junior midfielder Daniel Galvin had a goal and a pair of assists to pace UMass Lowell.

Dylan Klippenstein tied the game at 1-1 after UMass Lowell jumped out to a 1-0 advantage when junior midfielder Matheus Candido converted a penalty kick with 23:20 gone by. Seven minutes later, Klippenstein gathered a corner from senior midfielder
Liam Barrett and finished on the right side. However, freshman midfielder Eric DeSantis tapped in a rebound seven minutes later and the River Hawks never trailed again.

Patrik Ohlsson made four saves throughout 71:53 of action and junior
Dustin Greco made another four saves in the final 18:07 for Saint Rose. Sophomore Chris Maierle registered one stop for UMass Lowell in 72:26 of time between the posts.
Looking ahead, the Golden Knights will head to West Haven, CT to visit conference rival New Haven for a 4:00 pm date on Tuesday. The River Hawks on the other hand are off until next Saturday when they travel to Manchester, NH to meet league rival Saint Anselm.
