Saint Rose is set to welcome American International College to Albany for a 4:00 pm NE-10 contest
ALBANY - The College of Saint Rose men's soccer team is set to host American International College today at 4:00 pm at Sullivan Field in a Northeast-10 Conference match. The Golden Knights are coming off of Saturday's 2-1 setback versus Bentley on "Senior Day", while the Yellow Jackets suffered a 1-0 loss against Franklin Pierce on Saturday. The match will be broadcast live via the web on www.gogoldenknights.tv.

LAST MEETING (October 12, 2010)
American International College broke open a 1-0 ballgame at the break with a pair of strikes just 1:16 apart early in the second period on the way to a 4-0 Northeast-10 Conference victory over Saint Rose last October 12. Senior forward Thomas Denomme and Sean Stevenson did most of the damage for AIC. Denomme finished with two goals and an assist, while Stevenson added a pair of markers as well.

The Golden Knights received seven saves from senior keeper Patrik Ohlsson, who played all 90 minutes between the posts. AIC keeper James Taber wound up with three saves throughout the first 69:47 before giving way to sophomore Jeremy Nash, who collected one stop over the final 20:13.

SCOUTING SAINT ROSE (1-13-0/0-10-0 NE-10)
The Golden Knights are coming off of a 2-1 loss versus Bentley on Saturday. Freshman forward Jeff Kozlowski scored his first collegiate goal with one second remaining. It marked the eighth contest in 14 outings this year that was decided by one goal.

Kozlowski is one of six players who have found the back of the net so far this season. Junior forward Giancarlo Montenegro, junior midfielder Zak Duguay, sophomore back Alan McGrath, sophomore midfielder Dylan Klippenstein and sophomore back Stephen Richardson have also provided one marker.

Meanwhile, Ohlsson has collected 66 saves having playing all but 32:23 in goal. Ohlsson ranks third in the NE-10 in saves.

SCOUTING AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL
The Yellow Jackets are coming off of Saturday's 1-0 loss versus league-leading Franklin Pierce. Denomme paces the squad in points (18) and goals (7), which places him in a tie for second among the NE-10 leaders. The latter represents nearly half of the team's goals (15) to date.

Meanwhile, sophomore netminder Jason Ryan has chalked up 69 saves, the second-highest total among the conference's goalies. He owns a 3-4-3 record and three shutouts as well.

UP NEXT
Saint Rose plays its final road match of the year this Saturday in Easton, MA. The Golden Knights are set to meet Stonehill for an 11:00 am NE-10 affair. Meanwhile, American International returns home Saturday to entertain Saint Anselm at 2:00 pm.
