Box Score ALBANY – Three different players found the back of the net to power visiting Southern New Hampshire University past The College of Saint Rose 3-0 in a Northeast-10 Conference men's soccer match at Sullivan Field this afternoon. The Penmen have now won four in a row.
Freshman midfielder Miguel Carneiro orchestrated a pair of strikes, including one off a free kick with just 2:31 elapsed to lead Southern New Hampshire (7-2/5-2 NE-10). Carneiro let go a direct kick that was deflected home by classmate Mohamed Toufik to make it a 1-0 affair.
Neither side found the back of the net over the next 40 minutes until junior forward Jordan Branco gave the Penmen a 2-0 cushion when he found the top right corner at the 43:25 mark. Carneiro then fed freshman forward Chris Pereira (Ludlow, MA/Ludlow), who tallied his first collegiate goal, in the 80th minute for the final margin.
Southern New Hampshire held an 18-4 margin in shots and a 9-4 edge in corners against the Golden Knights (0-9/0-6 NE-10).

Patrik Ohlsson, who entered the match ranked fifth in the league in saves, made three stops in the contest. Meanwhile, senior netminder Mark Painchaud turned aside one shot to preserve his first shutout of the year.
Saint Rose has tomorrow off before welcoming Concordia College to Albany for a non-conference match at 6:30 pm Monday. Meanwhile, Southern New Hampshire is idle until Wednesday when the Penmen entertain Post University at 7:00 pm.
