PALM BEACH, FL – The College of Saint Rose bounced back from a 6-5 deficit with four runs in the eighth inning on the way to a 9-6 victory against Bloomfield Saturday at the Palm Beach College. Later in the day, the Golden Knights (4-11) fell 16-8 to Felician (4-6) to conclude their annual spring break trek through Florida.
Sophomore second baseman
Michael Carbone went 3-for-5 with a double and a pair of stolen bases to pace the Saint Rose attack that furthermore took advantage of six Bloomfield (0-5) errors.
In the second game, Carbone came up big again with a double and three runs scored. Also, junior outfielder
Garret Keenan wound up 2-for-5 with three runs scored.
Up next, the Golden Knights are scheduled to open Bob Bellizzi Field at the Plumeri Complex on Saturday, March 20 with a noon doubleheader versus Northeast-10 Conference rival Saint Anselm.
