BOCA RATON, FL – The College of Saint Rose suffered a 5-2 loss to Wilmington during the second day of its spring break trip through Florida this morning.
The Wildcats (1-0) scored twice in the second and two more times in the fourth to take a 4-1 lead. The Golden Knights (1-6) got one back in the fourth and another in the seventh, before Wilmington closed out the scoring with a run in the top half of the eighth.
Junior right-hander
Doug Dulin fanned five and allowed only two earned runs throughout 7.0 innings of work, while senior shortstop
Zachary Halloran went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored to lead the Saint Rose attack.
Looking ahead, Saint Rose has a 7:00 pm date with Mercyhurst in Palm Beach this evening and a 6:00 pm game at Nova Southeastern in Fort Lauderdale tomorrow.
