ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose men's basketball team had six players reach double-figures in scoring for the first time all year in a 93-78 Northeast-10 Conference win against UMass Lowell this afternoon at the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium. In the process, the Golden Knights (10-8/7-6 NE-10) snapped a three-game skid and knocked off a River Hawk club that was sitting alone in fourth place in the league standings entering today's tilt.
Saint Rose tied its season-high with 52 second half points after shooting 60.7 percent (17-for-28) from the floor throughout the final 20 minutes. The Golden Knights were also able to capitalize on a mediocre shooting effort by UMass Lowell (12-6/9-4 NE-10), which shot 25.9 percent (7-for-27) from the arc in the second period.
After trailing 5-2 in the opening 2:27, Saint Rose outscored the River Hawks 17-5 over the next six minutes to open up a 19-9 advantage. Sophomore forwards

Shea Bromirski buried a 3-pointer to cap things.
UMass Lowell eventually whittled its deficit to five, 32-27, with a little more than four minutes to go following a tip-in by freshman guard Romeo Diaz. However, Bromirski converted back-to-back layups, Hanuschak laid in a feed from senior guard
Jermaine Clark and freshman guard
Andre Pope tossed in a trey that boosted the Golden Knights lead back to 10, 41-31, at halftime.
Saint Rose began extending its cushion at the onset of the second half and built its largest lead of the game, 70-47, with 7:32 to play. Hanuschak and sophomore guard
Rob Gutierrez combined for 10 straight points during a key 10-0 outburst that put the Golden Knights in control. The River Hawks could get no closer than 11 points the rest of the way.
Bromirski led the scoring parade for Saint Rose for the eighth time in the last 11 games with 24 points. Hanuschak registered his fourth “double-double” in the last five contests with 19 points and 14 rebounds, while Clark added 15 points, eight boards and four assists.
Furthermore, Gutierrez came off the bench to deliver 14 points in 15 minutes and Griffin tossed in 10 points.
Sophomore guard Kyle Caiola, the league's leading scorer, topped UMass Lowell with 21 points. Diaz added 12 points and eight rebounds, while senior forward Ali Kanaan finished with 11 points.
Both squads have a pair of NE-10 games scheduled for Tuesday night. The Golden Knights head to Waltham, MA for a meeting with 14th-ranked Bentley University, while the River Hawks are set to host Pace University. Both games will tip-off at 7:30 pm.
