ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose overcame 22 turnovers by shooting a season-high 52.9 percent (9-for-17) from 3-point range to upend visiting Concordia 68-62 in a non-conference game tonight at the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium. The Golden Knights (6-3) have now won five straight and ran their unbeaten streak to 22-0 all-time against the Clippers (0-7).
Sophomore guard
Shea Bromirski went 6-for-7 from the arc to lead Saint Rose with 20 points. He also handed out a team-high six assists. Senior guard
Jermaine Clark tossed in 12 points, while freshman guard
Andre Pope and sophomore forward
Brian Hanuschak added 10 apiece and hauled in nine and seven rebounds respectively.
The game was close throughout although the Golden Knights led the entire time with the exception of a one minute span midway through the opening period when Concordia went up 17-16. Saint Rose finally appeared to put itself in the driver's seat by scoring 10 unanswered points at the 16:16 mark of the second half that transformed a 40-38 advantage into a 50-38 cushion with 13:15 showing on the clock.

Devin Grimes finished inside, Bromirski and Pope knocked down back-to-back 3-pointers and senior forward
Malcolm Williams hit a layup to account for the run.
Concordia refused to go away though and got back to within three, 51-48, with 10:03 remaining by scoring six unanswered points. However, Clark buried a pair of free throws at the other end to make it a five point ballgame and the Clippers were never able to get closer than three points the rest of the way.
Sophomore guard Matthew Collins and freshman guard Lavor Morris had 15 points apiece and freshman forward Argelix Gil added a dozen for Concordia.
Up next, Saint Rose has a 4:00 pm non-conference date at Philadelphia University on Sunday. Concordia on the other hand is scheduled to head to Florida for the University on Tampa Classic on Monday and Tuesday. The Clippers will first meet the host Spartans at 7:30 pm Monday, and then face Eckerd College at 5:30 pm the following day.
