Biography

GENERAL: Will enter the 2013 outdoor campaign as the school record holder outdoors in the hammer (43.00m; 141-08)…Best sports moment was setting the school records in the hammer throw and discus…Favorite hobby is photography…Would like to teach high school English as well as open up a photography business following her Saint Rose career…Dean’s List student.
 
AS A JUNIOR: Had a solid third season for the Golden Knights…Three times finished sixth in the weight throw with her best effort coming in a toss of 13.47 meters at the Tufts Stampede (2/4/12)…Competed in five of the seven events on the outdoor schedule…Had a strong meet at the George Davis Invitational (4/7/12) where she notched her best mark of the season in the discus throw with a distance of 31.01 meters…Also placed 16th in the hammer throw in the same meet with a toss of 37.73 meters…Recorded a season-best effort in the hammer with a distance of 38.09 meters at the season-opening Dick Shea Open (3/31/12)…Named to the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll for both the fall and spring semesters in recognition of academic excellence.
 
AS A SOPHOMORE: Participated in all seven meets throughout the indoor season…Registered the team’s top marks on the year in both the shot put and the weight throw…Had a season best throw in the shot put at the MIT Invitational (1/29/11) with a throw of 9.30 meters (30’ 6.25”)…Also registered her best weight throw of the indoor campaign at MIT with a toss of 12.89m (42’ 3.50”)…Competed in five of the seven events on the outdoor schedule…Set a school record in the hammer throw at the Capital District Classic (4/30/11) where she registered a distance of 43.00 meters (141’ 8”)…Also had a season best effort at the meet in the shot put, with a toss of 8.92 meters (29’ 2.65”)…Posted a season high distance in the discus at the Springfield Invitational (4/23/11) with a toss of 32.33 meters (106’ 1”)…Named to the NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for both the fall and spring semesters.
 
AS A FRESHMAN: Took part in all seven meets during the indoor slate…Put up the squad’s top-five efforts in the weight throw…Recorded a personal-best toss of 11.87m (38-11.32) to finish ninth at the Smith Tartan Invitational (2/6/10)…Was second in the weight throw (11.78m; 38-7.77) and sixth in the shot put (9.17m; 30-1.02) at the Williams Invitational (1/16/10)…Was subsequently named the NE-10 Field Freshman of the Week (1/19/10)…Was eighth in the weight throw (10.69m; 35-1.00) and ninth in the shot put (9.26m; 30-8.50) at the NE-10 Indoor Championships (2/18/10)…Top Saint Rose performer in the hammer and discus during the outdoor season…Registered a school record toss of 38.75m (127-1.59) in the hammer at the Rensselaer Early Outdoor Invitational (3/27/10)…Also delivered a school mark in the discus behind a distance of 36.78m (120-8.03) at the Capital District Classic (4/24/10).
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Played basketball in addition to competing for the indoor and outdoor track and field squads at Guilderland…Placed sixth in the discus at the New York State Meet, thus garnering All-State honors as a junior…Received All-Star honors from the Times Union…Also chosen for the YMCA Outstanding Student Award…Earned “The Guilderland Letterman Award” as a senior…Served as a team captain on both indoor and outdoor track and field teams.
