ABOUT O'SHEA: Great basketball IQ…Tough player…Makes smart decisions…Very good defensively…Decorated high school student-athlete…Played AAU ball for the Albany Capitals.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Two-time section II class “A” MVP…Twice named to both the New York State All-Regional and All-Finals Teams…Was an All-New York State Team Writers Association two times, first on the fourth team in 2011 followed by a second team honor in 2012…Named a 2012 first-team All-Star by both the Albany Times Union and Troy Record…2012 Channel 13 All-Star as well…Helped lead Averill Park to the 2010 New York State Federation Championship along with four section II championships, three state regional titles, a state championship and two state finals appearances…Also played soccer.
 
GENERAL: Sister of junior guard Brittany O’Shea….Has another sister who played basketball at Saint Michael’s and a brother who played at nearby Skidmore…Said that her best sports moment was her high school team winning the state championship…Added that Derek Jeter is the athlete she admires most.
