ABOUT VAN BOURGONDIEN: Athletic frontcourt player…Good rebounder…Played AAU basketball for the Long Island Lightning.
 
AS A JUNIOR: Came off the bench in 20 games, averaging 4.6 minutes per-game…Averaged 1.7 rebounds…Totaled a career-high seven rebounds in a 64-50 victory at New Haven (11/16/11)…Turned away a career-high two shots during a 69-54 win against Bloomfield (12/30/11)…Played a career-high 12 minutes on two occasions, first in a 64-50 victory at New Haven (11/16/11) followed by a 67-47 loss at Bentley (1/14/12)…Named to the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll for both the fall and spring semesters in recognition of academic excellence.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Played in 12 games as a reserve…Went 1-for-2 from the strip in a 66-44 win at Lincoln (11/13/10)…Also buried 1-of-2 two free throw attempts in a 74-70 overtime victory at Bridgeport (12/19/10)…Named to both the fall and spring NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Rolls.
 
AS A FRESHMAN: Appeared in 10 games…Scored her first collegiate point after knocking down a free throw in a 63-51 win at Adelphi (11/24/09)…Also pulled down a season-high four rebounds…Recorded four points on 2-of-2 shooting from the floor in a 60-44 loss at American International (2/6/10)…Pulled down three boards and added two points in nine minutes during an 86-49 triumph versus Adelphi (2/9/10)…Named to both the fall and spring NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Rolls.

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-sport athlete at Southold…Part of the 2006 class “C” championship basketball team…Garnered Rookie of the Year honors the previous year…Four-time All-League pick in basketball…Was twice named to the All-League squad in soccer…All-State pick…Received All-County and All-Academic honors twice…National Honor Society member…Two-year team captain of the basketball and soccer teams.
 
GENERAL: Best sports moment was winning the class “C” championship in basketball…Enjoys fishing, skiing and swimming in her spare time…Favorite movie is “Slumdog Millionaire”…Has an aunt who played volleyball at Lynchburg College…Dean’s List student.
 
COACH HAAG ON VAN BOURGONDIEN: “Kim continues to possess some of the best athletic ability on the team.  She has entered this season in good shape and is putting hard work into all of her workouts.  She is a great kid that can provide us with great size and athleticism on the low block.”
