Biography

GENERAL: Very quick for her size…Puts up a big block…Versatile hitter with emerging power and shot control…Comes out of the Pine Bush Volleyball Club…Said her high school head coach Lori Kachelmeyer has had a great deal of influence on her…Enjoys writing and going to the beach…Favorite movie is “The Breakfast Club” and her favorite food is pizza…Best sports moment to date was appearing in the state tournament…Dean’s List member.

AS A JUNIOR: Named to the Fall and Spring NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Rolls…Played in all 29 of the team’s matches…Was second on the squad with 196 kills and 88 blocks…Reached double-digits in kills on seven occasions…Had a season-high 11 kills in a 3-1 win versus Mercy (9/29/09)…Also closed out the year with 11 kills and six blocks in a 3-2 loss versus Stonehill (11/7/09)…Finished with 10 kills and four blocks in a 3-2 victory over Caldwell (9/11/09)…Recorded 10 kills in a 3-1 setback versus New Haven (9/25/09) and in a pair of 3-2 losses at Merrimack (10/2/09) and Le Moyne (10/7/09).

AS A SOPHOMORE: Named to the NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll…Was the team’s fourth leading hitter with 149 kills…Also second on the squad with 77 blocks…Tied her career-high with nine blocks to go with a like number of kills and two digs in a 3-1 win versus Philadelphia (9/5/08) at the East Stroudsburg Tournament…Registered eight kills and four blocks two matches later to help lead Saint Rose past Shepherd (9/6/08) 3-1…Wound up with 11 kills and hit .476 in a 3-1 triumph at Mercy (10/13/08)…Collected a career-high 16 kills in a 3-2 setback versus UMass Lowell (10/17/08).

AS A FRESHMAN: Finished sixth on the team with 101 kills and was third with 63 blocks…Played in 64 games and had a .228 hitting percentage…Put together her best performance of the season in a 3-2 victory versus Stonehill (10/12/07) when she recorded a season-high 14 kills and a .571 hitting percentage…Also had a season-high nine blocks in a 3-2 triumph over visiting Southern New Hampshire (10/27/07).

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a section IX first-team All-Star as a senior…Named the squad’s Most Improved Offensive Player as a senior as well…Member of the Honor Roll and the National Honor Society…Helped lead the Bushmen to appearances in the NYS Tournament as a sophomore and junior.
