Biography

GENERAL: Brings athleticism and power to the middle attack…Strong blocker with excellent power and a tough serve…Comes out of Western Mass. Junior Olympic Volleyball where her team finished second at the NERVA 18 Gold Championships in May of 2009, knocking off the top seed en route to the title match…Favorite movie is “The Breakfast Club” and her favorite food is lobster…Said U.S. Olympian Lloyd Ball is the athlete she admires most…Would like to attend graduate school and become a marine biologist following her graduation from Saint Rose…Member of the Dean’s List.

AS A JUNIOR: Took over as the club’s setter for the final four matches of the year…Finished with 120 assists…Was also fifth on the squad in kills (78) and tied for third in blocks (47)…Made 14 starts…Had a season-high seven blocks to go with eight kills in a 3-1 win versus Nyack (9/7/10)…Contributed 25 assists and 11 digs in a 3-1 loss at Bentley (11/5/10)…Dished out a season-best 30 assists in a 3-1 setback versus Franklin Pierce (10/30/10)…Named to both the fall and spring NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Rolls in recognition of academic excellence.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Named to the fall and spring NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Rolls…Played in all 29 matches…Paced the Golden Knights in blocks (96), was third in aces (35) and fourth in kills (155)…Recorded at least five blocks on eight occasions during the year…Established a career-high behind nine blocks in a 3-1 win at Millersville (9/5/09)…Chalked up 10 kills, seven blocks and four digs in a 3-2 loss at Merrimack (10/2/09)…Finished with 11 kills and six blocks in a 3-1 victory versus Millersville (10/24/09)…Came up with 10 kills, six blocks and five digs in a 3-2 triumph at Southern New Hampshire (10/30/09).

AS A FRESHMAN: Named to NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll…Led the Golden Knights in blocks (80) and aces (36)…Also finished fifth with 126 kills…Registered a season-high 12 kills in a 3-2 win at NYIT (9/13/08)…Also added six blocks and three aces to help propel Saint Rose over the Bears…Came up with at least six blocks on four occasions throughout the year, including a 3-1 triumph at Concordia (10/23/08) where she also recorded 10 kills and hit .643…Wound up hitting .600 on the strength of seven kills in a 3-0 sweep versus Southern Connecticut (11/1/08)…Contributed five digs, five blocks and an ace as well.

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year Scholar-Athlete award winner at Pioneer Valley Regional…Named to the All-Western Mass. First Team…Team MVP as a senior…Also named to the Republican All-Academic Team…Member of the 2005 squad that was a Western Mass. finalist.
