Biography

GENERAL: A team captain…Expected to have a primary role as both a jumper and sprinter…Owns school triple jump record both indoors and outdoors…Would like to attend graduate school upon completing his undergraduate career at Saint Rose…Enjoys snowboarding.

AS A JUNIOR: Went 40 feet, 10.25 inches during the NE-10 Indoor Championships (2/23/08) at Southern Connecticut State to break his own school mark in the triple jump…Leaped 41 feet, 1.0 inch at the NE-10 Outdoor Championships (5/3/08) at Bryant…Tied for 13th indoors with a leap of 19 feet, 8.0 inches in the long jump at the Crowell Open (1/12/08) hosted by Army…Finished 14th in that event at the conference championships by going 19 feet, 6.25 inches…Part of the winning 4x200 indoor relay squad that ran a 1:36.03 at the Smith Tartan Invitational (2/9/08)…Member of sixth place 4x100 outdoor quartet that went 45.12 at the NE-10 Championships…Tied for third outdoors with a season-best jump of 6.55 meters at UMass Lowell’s George Davis Invitational (4/12/08).

AS A SOPHOMORE: Established a season-best in the triple jump with a distance of 39 feet, 10.00 inches at the Wesleyan Invitational (1/27/07)….Registered respective 10th and 11th place finishes in the long jump and triple jump at the NE-10 Indoor Championships (2/19/07) after battling injuries most of the season…Recorded a leap of 19 feet, 11.00 inches in the long jump and had a distance of 38 feet, 8.25 inches in the triple jump…Also ran the second leg on the 4x400 relay squad that crossed the line in a fifth place time of 3:35.06 at the indoor championship meet.

AS A FRESHMAN: His leap of 40 feet, 6.75 inches at the Middlebury Invitational (4/1/06) was his best of the year…Was subsequently named NE-10 Men’s Field Freshman of the Week and ECAC Field Athlete of the Week…Also garnered NE-10 Field Freshman of the Week honors (5/1/06) after finishing second in the triple jump and third in the long jump at the RPI Invitational (4/29/06)…Established a personal best in the long jump with a distance of 20 feet, 7.00 inches at RPI as well.

HIGH SCHOOL: Member of the soccer, indoor and outdoor track & field teams at Rice Memorial High School…Received second team All-League honors in soccer…Helped guide the Green Knights track and field team to the Division II State Championship in 2003.
