ROCHESTER, N.Y.-The College of Saint Rose men's lacrosse team saw its three-game winning streak snapped today as the Golden Knights took a 16-13 defeat this afternoon at Roberts Wesleyan.
Sophomore attack
Noah Gibson and graduate attack
Cam Smith scored four times apiece, while sophomore attack
Aiden Blouin logged two goals for Saint Rose in the setback.
Senior attack
Greg Walsh had a goal and three assists and sophomore midfield
Jack Rice tallied two helpers as well.
The Golden Knights sprinted ahead early after netting the first three goals and six of the first nine scores of the contest. Facing a 6-3 deficit, the Redhawks flip the script with an 8-0 sprint over the next 18 minutes to take an 11-6 lead.
Saint Rose would cut the margin to two goals on three separate occasions in the fourth quarter, however Roberts Wesleyan would maintain control to the end. The Redhawks recorded a 55-31 shot advantage on the day.
Looking forward, the Golden Knights are back home for a Saturday meeting with Georgian Court. The non-conference action is set to begin at 12:00 pm at Sullivan Field.
