ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint men's lacrosse team suffered a 14-12 defeat to Georgian Court this afternoon at Sullivan Field.
Sophomore attack
Noah Gibson scored a game-high five goals, while attackÂ
Cam Smith and midfield
Jack Rice netted two goals apiece.Â
The attack trio of
Eddie Baker,
Aiden Blouin, and
Alex Johanson each registered solo goals for the Golden Knights.
Saint Rose jumped ahead 5-2 early, but the Lions netted 10 of the next 13 goals to establish a 12-8 lead in the fourth quarter.
Trailing by four with 14 minutes left, the Golden Knights ripped off four straight goals to tie the score at 12-12 with 3:20 remaining, however Georgian Court would score twice in the final two minutes to earn the win.
The Golden Knights return to action at home against Caldwell on Wednesday at 4:00 pm.
