ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose men's lacrosse team was defeated 17-8 in a non-conference tilt this afternoon versus Roberts Wesleyan.
Freshman attack Noah Gibson senior attack Cam Smith combined to tally the first four scores of the game to help Saint Rose claim a 4-0 lead six minutes into the first frame.
The Redhawks would control the action throughout the next two and half quarters, however, as the visitors would respond to the early deficit by scoring 14 of the next 16 goals.
Gibson led the Golden Knights with three goals, while junior goalie Ryan Gainor turned away 16 shots in net.
Looking forward, Saint Rose will take a week off before facing #16 Bentley next Saturday in Waltham, Mass.
