Box Score SYRACUSE, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose women's basketball team commenced the 2023-24 season with an exhibition matchup against Syracuse is the JMA Wireless Dome this evening.Â
"I was proud of our overall effort tonight. Once we settled down after a slow start, we did some good things," said Saint Rose Head Coach Will Brown. "Syracuse presented many challenges as they are an NCAA tournament-caliber team with an All-American point guard. Tonight was great experience for our players and we appreciate the opportunity. We are looking forward to getting back to practice and getting better!"
Sophomore guard
Payton Graber paced the Golden Knights with 15 points in the contest. Graber topped Saint Rose with six field goals, including a pair of three-pointers. She also led the team with two steals.
Junior guard
Syrita Faraj knocked down three long balls to finish with nine points for Saint Rose. Faraj also tallied six rebounds and an assist.
The backcourt duo of junior
Maddisyn Mahoney and
Aniya McDonald-Perry logged eight and seven points, respectively. Mahoney would grab a team-best seven rebounds, while McDonald-Perry pulled down six boards.

The Golden Knights will next look ahead to the team's Northeast-10 Conference opener on Wednesday, November 15 at Pace.
