ALBANY, N.Y. – The College of Saint Rose fell for only the second time during six home dates with this afternoon's 22-11 setback at the hands of nationally ranked Northeast-10 Conference rival Saint Anselm on Sullivan Field.

Â
The Golden Knights (7-5/2-3 NE10) started strong by building a 2-0 lead. However, Saint Anselm responded with four unanswered goals before Saint Rose fought back to forge a 5-5 tie with 2:53 to go until intermission.
Â
Saint Anselm (5-4/3-3 NE10) countered back with three consecutive strikes over the final 2:13 to take an 8-5 halftime lead, and then scored eight straight throughout the opening 12 minutes of the third that yielded a 16-5 advantage.
The Hawks took a 17-6 lead into the fourth, before the two sides exchanged five goals apiece during the final period.
Â
Junior attack
