GOLDEN KNIGHTS HAVE FOUR GAME WIN STREAK SNAPPED WITH SETBACK TO NATIONALLY RANKED BENTLEY

ALBANY, N.Y. – The College of Saint Rose had its four game win streak snapped with today's 18-5 setback to nationally ranked Bentley in its Northeast-10 Conference opener at Sullivan Field within The Plumeri Sports Complex.

The visiting Falcons (3-1/2-0 NE10), who are listed #17 in this week's USILA National Poll, scored seven unanswered goals in the second quarter to put themselves in control with an 11-2 halftime lead.

Junior goalie Ryan Fleming recorded 14 saves throughout 53 minutes for the Golden Knights (5-2/0-1 NE10), who fell for the first time at home this spring.

Sophomore attack Paul Wright, fifth year attack Jack Pemrick, fifth year midfielder John Loughlin, junior attack Eddie Baker, and junior midfielder Gabriel Nish accounted for the five Saint Rose strikes.

Junior attack Luke Jaber recorded five goals, while senior attack Matty O'Brien finished with three strikes and a pair of assists to pace Bentley, which has outscored its four opponents 57-35 thus far in 2022.

Looking ahead, Saint Rose is back on the road Wednesday with a 6:00 pm non-conference date at Roberts Wesleyan in Rochester. Meanwhile, the Falcons return home next Saturday to host NE10 rival Franklin Pierce at 1:00 pm.
