SPARKILL, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose dropped a non-conference contest today at St. Thomas Aquinas. The Spartans, who most recently took the #23 rank in the NABC Coaches Poll and #25 spot in the D2SIDA National media rankings, relied on the long ball this afternoon, as the hosts hit 18 three pointers to take the 109-74 win.
After STAC opened up a 16-point first half lead, the Golden Knights would battle back, cutting the deficit to three on a three-pointer by junior forward
Eric Fleming with 0:24 seconds left in the half. Saint Rose would go into the half down 56-51.Â
Fleming finished the game with a double-double, posting game-highs of 25 points (11-of-19) and 14 rebounds.
Saint Thomas Aquinas would pull away in the second half, paced by leading scorer Jamal Barnes, who would finish with 18 points. The Spartans shot 18-32 (56%) from behind the arc and scored 25 points off 20 Golden Knights turnovers.Â

Latiek Briscoe also finished in double figures for the Golden Knights. O'Dell scored 19 points on 8-of-16 shooting, while Briscoe added 11 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, and a steal.Â
Saint Rose will be back in action for a Northeast-10 Conference tilt with Pace University on December 31st at 3:30pm in Pleasantville, NY. Saint Thomas Aqiunas will next fave Adelphi on December 29th at 2:00 pm.
