Last Meeting (10/2/2019): The College of Saint Rose rallied for a 3-2 victory (21-25, 20-25, 25-21, 25-19, 15-8) on the road over the Setters. Stevie Schweitzer recorded a double-double of 19 kills and 15 digs to lead the Golden Knights. Kyla Archie added 15 kills on .323 hitting and seven total blocks. The sophomore setting pair of Valeria Jorge (26) and Allison Sellers (22) dished out 48 assists in the comeback victory. Pace took sets number one and two quickly to start the match, before the Golden Knights jumped out to an 11-2 lead on the way to winning the third set. After extending the match into a fourth set, Saint Rose built another early lead and were up 14-6 before Pace roared back to win eight of the next nine points to narrow the margin. With Saint Rose ahead 15-14 in the critical fourth, the Golden Knights won 10 of the final 15 points in the set to push play to a deciding fifth frame. Saint Rose closed out the comeback match victory with a 15-8 score in the fifth.
 
Last Time Out: Saint Rose was defeated in straight-sets (14-25, 13-25, 21-25) on the road at Northeast-10 Conference leader New Haven on Friday night. Senior outside hitter Cassidy Smith and freshman middle blocker Julia Cavalcanti led the Golden Knights with four kills each. Cavalcanti landed her attacks at a .375 strike percentage. Freshman setter Emma Strefling contributed 11 assists.
 
Scouting Saint Rose (3-8/0-2 NE10): Saint Rose has displayed a stout defense at the net this season, led by freshman middle blockers Cavalcanti (1.00 blocks/set average) and freshman Karleigh Fripp (0.95 b/s)…Cavalcanti's blocking pace marks the second best average in the NE10 and Fripp's blocks per set average is the fourth highest in the league…Fripp has struck the ball accurately as well for the Golden Knights, with her .312 striking percentage marking the eighth highest average in the league…The Golden Knight duo of Strefling and Sellers combine for an average of 6.25 assists/set…Junior libero Gabriela Boyrie paces Saint Rose with 3.36 digs/set.
 
Scouting Pace (1-6/0-1 NE10): Pace dropped a 3-0 match at home against Southern Connecticut State on Thursday night, 18-25, 19-25, 19-25…Junior outside hitter Brielle Jones led the Setters' offense with a team-high 15 kills on a season-best .419 hitting percentage…Four other Pace players finished with at least three kills in the defeat, while senior Leonarda Uljic and freshman Georgette Cosentino combined for 21 assists…Jones ranks second in the NE10 with 3.58 kills per set…Freshman defensive specialist Morgan Amos' average of 0.48 service aces per set is tied for the fifth-best average in the league.
 
Up Next:  Saint Rose travels to Rochester, N.Y. on Friday for a 6:00 pm non-conference matchup at Roberts Wesleyan. Pace will also be on the road Friday night, when the Setters continue NE10 play at Saint Anselm. First serve is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
