RINDGE, N.H. – The College of Saint Rose wrapped up its Northeast-10 Conference cross-divisional weekend with 6-0 and 5-3 setbacks at Franklin Pierce this afternoon.
The Golden Knights (7-15/3-7 NE10) built a 3-1 lead in the nightcap, but the Ravens (14-13/7-4 NE10) pushed across four runs in the seventh inning to grab the win.
Freshman catcher
Max Gebauer finished 2-for-4 while junior second baseman
Patrick LaDouce, senior designated hitter
Kenny Fils-Aime, and senior left fielder
Justin Sportman each drove in a run.
Fils-Aime belted a ground rule double that one-hopped the 390-foot center field sign in the third and LaDouce had an RBI base hit in the fifth. Senior center fielder
Alexander Koshgarian then ripped a leadoff double to the left-center field gap and came across one batter later courtesy of a base hit by senior left fielder
Justin Sportman in the sixth.
In the opener, senior first baseman
Nicolas Teitter and sophomore center fielder
Stephan MacMeans each had a hit for the Golden Knights.
Looking ahead, Saint Rose has a 3:30 pm divisional date at Southern Connecticut State tomorrow. The game is a make-up from March 31. Meanwhile, the Ravens host league rival Saint Anselm Wednesday at 3:00 pm.
