GENERAL: Transferred from Monroe CC two years ago…Said that Derek Jeter is the athlete he most admires…Enjoys the music of Drake…Favorite food is buffalo chicken pizza and his favorite movie is “Rookie of the Year”…Aspires to become a first grade teacher and a baseball coach following his graduation from The College of Saint Rose…Said winning a high school state championship has been his best sports moment to date…Is a cousin of former Golden Knight Matt Frey (‘08)…Parents are Sharon and Frank Pizzo.
 
AS A JUNIOR: Made five starts and a like number of appearances out of the bullpen…Fanned 22 throughout 33.2 innings of work…Struck out a season-high six batters and allowed just a run during 4.2 innings of relief in a 13-10 setback to visiting American International (4/2/19)…Picked up his first win in a Golden Knights uniform when he allowed a run in 5.0 innings of action during a 9-3 victory versus Pace (4/14/19)…Named to the Northeast-10 Conference Academic Honor Roll for the fall and spring semesters.
 
AT MONROE CC: Made nine starts and two relief appearances in 2018…Finished 3-3 and recorded 44 strikeouts in 41.1 innings of work.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: First-team section II Suburban Council class “AA” pick as a senior and a fifth-team selection as a junior…Helped lead the Plainsmen to a State “AA” Championship, as well as Regional and Sectional titles.
