GOLDEN KNIGHTS ERASE 7-1 DEFICIT AT FRANKLIN PIERCE

Badour Becomes Program's Goal Scoring Leader in Comeback Victory

RINDGE, N.H. – The College of Saint Rose outscored host Franklin Pierce 7-3 in the fourth quarter to pick up a 12-11 Northeast-10 Conference victory today.

Senior attack Carter Badour became the program's all-time leading goal scorer in the win. The Saint Rose co-captain, second on the career scoring list with 141 career points, led the Golden Knights (5-8/3-7 NE10) with five goals. Sophomore midfielder John Loughlin added two goals and a pair of assists for Saint Rose, who closed the game on an 11-4 run.

"This was a great comeback win by the guys today," said Head Coach Jim Morrissey. "They showed tons of heart and stayed the course for the entire 60 minutes."

Senior midfielder Nicolas Johnson was victorious on 66.7 percent (18-of-27) of face-offs, while sophomore goalie Matthew Gill stopped ten Franklin Pierce shots to earn the win.

The Ravens (5-6/3-6 NE10), got started quickly on their Senior Day, opening up an 7-1 lead. Badour, now with 108 career goals, cut the Franklin Pierce momentum with four goals in a 7:29 span across the intermission to turn the tide.

Senior midfielder Jake Castorf topped the hosts with three goals, while sophomore midfielder Mike Alibrandi, senior attack Luke Tracy, and sophomore midfielder Jose Dorr, netted two goals apiece.

Both teams conclude the NE10 regular-season Tuesday with ranked opponents. Saint Rose will travel to Manchester, N.H. to face #19 Saint Anselm at 4:00 pm. Meanwhile, Franklin Pierce will host #3 Adelphi at 3:00 pm.
Notes: Johnson, who was named to Tuesday's NE10 weekly honor roll, began the week second nationally with a league-best 12.83 groundballs per game…He had won 70.3 percent of his face-offs, which was good for eighth in the country…Badour tied his single-season scoring record of 56 points this afternoon...He is the only Golden Knight to register a pair of 50-point seasons...Badour is also the first Saint Rose player to score 40 goals in more than one campaign...Matt Graham '18 is the program's career scoring leader with 145 points.
