SYRACUSE, N.Y. –The College of Saint Rose began Northeast-10 Conference play with this afternoon's 18-11 loss at #7 and Upstate Challenge rival Le Moyne.
Senior attack
Carter Badour topped the Golden Knights (1-2/0-1 NE10) with five goals on nine shots. Junior attack
Jordyn Marchiano added three goals.
Senior midfielder
Nicolas Johnson won 45.5 percent, 15-for-33, of face-offs, while sophomore goalie
Matthew Gill made 12 saves.
Le Moyne (3-1/1-0 NE10), who held an 8-3 lead at the half and a 15-4 advantage entering the final period, had 14 players register points in the victory. Junior attack Riley Larson led the way with four goals.
Looking ahead, Saint Rose travels to Sparkill, N.Y. on Tuesday to face Saint Thomas Aquinas. The non-conference game is slated for a 3:00 pm start. Le Moyne continues its NE10 slate on Saturday with a noon home game against American International.
Notes: Badour equaled his career-high of five goals for the second-straight game…The Saint Rose co-captain registered 12 points, 10 goals and two assists, in the 1-1 week...He also eclipsed the 100 career points mark this afternoon...Badour currently sits fifth in program records with 102 points, and third with 79 goals.
