ASHTON, Pa. – The College of Saint Rose dropped a heartbreaking 6-5, 10 inning affair in the matinee and fell 3-0 in the finale of today's season-opener doubleheader versus West Chester at Maplezone Sports Institute. The Golden Rams entered the afternoon ranked #21 in the latest United States Baseball Writers Association (USBWA) National Poll.

In the first contest that was scheduled for seven innings, West Chester (2-0) twice rallied from two-run deficits before pushing across the game-winner in the tenth. Sophomore shortstop Justin Horn delivered a bases loaded single to center that brought across the difference maker.
