PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The College of Saint Rose scored five times in the third, seventh, and ninth innings on the way to today's 15-4 win at
Northeast-10 Conference divisional rival Pace University. In the process, the Golden Knights (15-16/8-8 NE10) took two of three in the weekend series and have now won five of their last six.

"We came focused and ready to play today. We swung the bats very well and
Zak Shaw threw a great game. This is the time of the year we need to be playing out best baseball and today was a good step in that direction," said head coach
Wayne Jones.

Shaw, a junior right-hander, allowed just one run on four hits in 7.0 innings of work.

Meanwhile, senior third baseman
Joe Foran finished 2-for-6 with four RBI and freshman second baseman
Francisco Infante belted a three-run homer in the seventh to help propel a season-high 20-hit attack.

Junior first baseman
Nicolas Teitter went 4-for-6 with two RBI, while sophomore designated hitter
Andrew Pedone and senior center fielder
Brian Uliana both wound up 3-for-6. Senior right fielder
Michael Shine finished 3-for-5.

Teitter belted a two-run double and Foran scored another pair on a base hit to highlight the third. Foran then brought across two more with a double to left-center in the seventh, before Infante homered. Uliana added an RBI triple in the ninth.

Freshman center fielder Matt Almonte had a pair of hits for the Setters (15-14-1/1-9 NE10).

Looking ahead, Saint Rose has a 3:30 pm NE10 game at American International Wednesday in Springfield. Meanwhile, Pace has a 3:00 home non-league date Tuesday with Concordia.
Notes: Foran has now reached base in 10 straight games…Uliana has a team-leading 13 multi-hit games this spring…Shine owns a six-game hit streak.
